graphics processing unit (GPU)

Image
DefiNITIOn  graphics processing unit (GPU) A  graphics processing unit  ( GPU ) is a specialized electronic circuit designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display device. GPUs are used in embedded systems, mobile phones, personal computers, workstations, and game consoles. Modern GPUs are very efficient at manipulating computer graphics and image processing. Their highly parallel structure makes them more efficient than general-purpose central processing units (CPUs) for algorithms that process large blocks of data in parallel. In a personal computer, a GPU can be present on a video card or embedded on the motherboard. In certain CPUs, they are embedded on the CPU die. [1] In the 1970s, the term "GPU" originally stood for graphics processor unit and described a programmable processing unit independently working from the CPU and responsible for graphics manipulation and

Business communications & IT Application

Communication What is meant by communication and what is its definition ? Or What is business communication? How will you define it ? Introduction : Individuals spend nearly three-fourth of their working hours in some kind of communicating activity, reading, writing, speaking, listening etc.Communication is the very basic phenomenon that pervades all human interactions. Since communication has always been regarded as the most crucial ingredient of business success. Business communication defined : The term communication comes from the Latin word "communis" which means common. Communication refers to the commonness or sharing of information ideas, facts, opinion, attitudes and understanding. Communication essentially means transmission of commonly meaningful information.    The American Management Association defines Business communication as "Any behaviour that results in an exchange of meaning".    Some social scientists are content to define it as an ex

Network Topology

What is Topology ? Topology defines the structure of the network of how all the components are interconnected to each other. There are two types of topology: physical and logical topology. Physical topology is the geometric representation of all the nodes in a network. The bus topology is designed in such a way that all the stations are connected through a single cable known as a backbone cable. Each node is either connected to the backbone cable by drop cable or directly connected to the backbone cable. When a node wants to send a message over the network, it puts a message over the network. All the stations available in the network will receive the message whether it has been addressed or not. The bus topology is mainly used in 802.3 (ethernet) and 802.4 standard networks. The configuration of a bus topology is quite simpler as compared to other topologies. The backbone cable is considered as a  "single lane"  through which the message is broadcast to

Introduction to networking Definition :- Computer network is a group of Inter-connected computer aur collection of hardware component and computer inter-connected by communication channels lof resources and information.A Network consider of two or more PCs connected together for the purpose of sharing data, resources, hardware it is called as networking. Explain different types of characteristics of computor networking .    Cost :- cost includes the cost of the network component installation and their maintenance.    Reliability :-  Reliability defines the reliability of the network component and the connectivity between them. Security :- Security includes The protection of the network component and the data Content or the data transmit between them. Speed :-  Include of how fast data is transmitted between network and points. Scalability :- scalability Define how will the network can adopt to new  new growth, includes new user, application, and network components. Topology :- Topolo

Introduction to I.T ( information technology )

Introduction to IT ( Information technology ) IT application in business Definition :- I.T. Stands for "Information Technology," and is pronounced "I.T." It refers to anything related to computing technology, such as networking, hardware, software, the Internet, or the people that work with these technologies. IT jobs include computer programming, network administration, computer engineering, Web development, technical support, and many other related occupations. Since we live in the "information age," information technology has become a part of our everyday lives. That means the term "IT," already highly overused, is here to stay. ======================================== Why is information technology important? Simply put, the work of most organizations would slow to a crawl without functioning IT systems. You’d be hard-pressed to find a business that doesn’t at least partially rely on computers and the networks that connect them. Mainta
